What is Myotherapy and is it different from a Remedial Massage?
A Myotherapy session is more targeted — it focuses on your specific issue and may not include unrelated areas of the body. Remedial Massage addresses your specific issue but typically also covers broader areas. Both are valid approaches depending on what you need; if you’re unsure which is right for you, feel free to get in touch.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first appointment will begin with a brief assessment — Lenora will ask about your current concern, relevant history, and your goals for treatment. From there, treatment is tailored to what you actually need that day. First appointments are the same length and price as subsequent ones, so you won’t lose treatment time to paperwork.
What should I wear?
Whatever you’re comfortable in. Loose, comfortable clothing is ideal as it allows easier access to the areas being treated. If removal of any clothing is required for treatment, you will always be asked first — and if you’d prefer to keep everything on, treatment techniques can be adapted to work just as effectively.
Do I need to remove clothing?
No. If you are not comfortable removing any articles of clothing, there is no requirement to do so. Treatment can be adapted to treat you effectively and comfortably regardless.
Is it easy to find and is there parking?
BPS Myotherapy operates from a private, dedicated treatment room at 84 Bellbridge Drive, Hoppers Crossing. Street parking is available directly outside, and off-street driveway parking is also available on the premises.
Are you LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse friendly?
Yes. BPS Myotherapy is an LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse-affirming practice. Lenora is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for all clients, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, or neurodivergence. Care is always tailored to your individual needs.
